My First three oil paintings in 22 years, and I am thrilled to play with color again.

I first painted a similar subject in 1979 and have wanted to revisit it since. Long's Peak anchors the picture, and it's points are duplicated in the barn, the trees and the nearby shrubs. Waving grain, ready to harvest speaks of the warmth of the early summer days in Colorado.

When I Grow Up 16" x 20" 26" x 30" Price: $1,200 From a special spot near Ward Colorado, lit by the warm afternoon sun, Longs Peak appears pink and blue. The rock in the foreground is the source of the title. The aspens are brilliant and reaching for attention. The evergreens, stately and serene seem dull by comparison. This is Colorado.
